Lucia Paola

4 year-old Mexican

Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)

Lucia Paola is the second youngest of six siblings. Their is only a 25% chance of siblings matching.  Lucia has been searching for her match since October. So far chemo has controlled the leukemia, but she will eventually need a match. She has smiled throughout this battle, and finding her match will make her smile even bigger and brighter. To follow her journey, follow her on Love4Lucia on Facebook.

July 2021 update: Lucia is now in remission.

Natalia

9 year old Salvandoran, Cantonese, Caucasian

Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Natalia has a very positive attitude. She loves to read (especially Percy Jackson and Warriors books) and do craft projects. Her nurses and doctors love her! She will need a bone marrow transplant. As of right now, there are NO full matches in the bone marrow registries worldwide. Her brother and her twin sister are not matches. Natalia’s mixed race background – Cantonese, Latina (Salvadoran), and white (Dutch/German) – makes it especially hard to find a match. Her bone marrow type is predominantly Cantonese/white.

Update: Currently in remission.

Mario

41 years old Mexican

Diagnoses with Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN)

Mario is a 41-year-old fun loving husband, father, son, brother who was diagnosed with Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm (BPDCN) in May 2020. He grew up with his family with a love of the outdoors, and along the way fell in love with weightlifting.

In May 2021, he relapsed and is currently undergoing treatment.

Kylie and Kimora

Both sisters were diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia. Since they were both diagnosed, they cannot be matches for each other. They are in need of a stem cell donor. Both of these beautiful girls have been battling through the pain caused by sickle cell, and with a simple cheek swab, you may be their hope!

Wil

72-year-old Spanish/Mexican

Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

In October 2020, Wil was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Since then, he has been fighting against the disease in hopes of a donor. Currently, he is undergoing treatment. 10 minutes of your time and a quick cheek swab may be the key to saving his life!
