9 year old Salvandoran, Cantonese, Caucasian

Diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Natalia has a very positive attitude. She loves to read (especially Percy Jackson and Warriors books) and do craft projects. Her nurses and doctors love her! She will need a bone marrow transplant. As of right now, there are NO full matches in the bone marrow registries worldwide. Her brother and her twin sister are not matches. Natalia’s mixed race background – Cantonese, Latina (Salvadoran), and white (Dutch/German) – makes it especially hard to find a match. Her bone marrow type is predominantly Cantonese/white. ~~Update~~In remission still sharing her story in case of relapse.

22 years old Mexican

Diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

A SoCal native and recent graduate at Syracuse University had her whole life planned. In May, that all came to a halt when she was diagnosed with leukemia. None of the treatments given to her was working, so her doctors have recommended a blood stem cell transplant for a cure. No one in her family was a perfect match, so the doctors are searching for an unrelated donor through Be the Match to save her life. You could be the one. 10 minutes of your time and a simple cheek swab is all it takes…..
